Community publishing and business discovery
Project website: Arabz news platform.
Arabz brings Canadian news, practical information and business discovery together for the Arab community in Canada. TheWebPro's work connected a WordPress directory with editorial publishing under one brand.
The platform serves two related needs: readers looking for news and information about life in Canada, and visitors looking for businesses that serve their community. The website gives each type of content its own place within the shared experience.

Arabic-language Canadian news
The editorial side presents Canadian news alongside practical information for the community. The content covers topics such as employment, community events and everyday life in Canada.
The website brings that material into dedicated editorial sections. Readers can explore articles while remaining within the same brand and website as the directory.
This publishing context shaped the project: news content and business information needed clear organisation for people arriving with different questions.

One brand, different tasks
A reader following a news story and a visitor looking for a local service need different information. The project connects those uses within a shared WordPress website, bringing editorial content and directory information into one digital presence.

Directory built around business information
The directory was initially built using the ListingPro WordPress theme. The work adapted that foundation to the audience and the business information visitors needed.
Listings bring together names, contact details, service descriptions and images, providing a consistent place to introduce each business.
Submitting and reviewing a listing
The submission process collects the business name, address, contact information, a description and images. Submitted information goes through a review step before the listing is added to the directory.
That process connects the information supplied by a business with its public presentation. It gives the publication a defined point to review listing material before making it available to visitors.

Connecting readers with services
The directory gives businesses serving the Arab community a place within the wider publication. Its content includes services such as restaurants, real estate and education.
The website brings those listings into a browsing context alongside community news and practical information, so business discovery and editorial publishing can share the platform.
